Best Research Paper Awards
2023 – 2024
We will be honoring the Best Paper Awards/Eminent Scholar Award/Best Researcher Award based on paper publication and grade point ranking for each journal category such as SCI papers, Scopus and Non-SCI papers for each subject category like Science, Arts, Engineering, Medicine and Social Sciences. A printed framed hard copy certificate can be sent by post and soft copy of the certificate will be sent by email. Awardees name along with affiliation and photos, profile details, main findings of the winning papers will be posted on our Novel Research Academy website and circulated for six months worldwide. This is open to both Indian and foreign authors. We will also include various category of awards related to publish research papers as follows:
- Best Paper Awards – SCI, SCOPUS, NON-SCI THROUGH REPUTED JOURNALS.
- Highly Cited Research Paper Awards 2023-2024
- NRA Eminent Scholar Award/NRA Eminent Researcher Award/NRA Eminent Scientist Award – 20223 – 2024 (Published the impact factor value 5.0).
- Best Researcher Award (who published a high number of research papers during the year 2023 – 2024, Please submit all your published paper list during the year (2022-2023).
Mode of Selection:
The papers are given Grade points based on the impact factor of the journal in the published year and the novelty of study (Grade Points = Average point of Impact factor of the Journal + Novelty of the study in the respective discipline). All papers are evaluated and examined by subject matter experts. Based on the evaluation report, a final awardees list will be shortlisted by the selection committee and will be awarded grade points.

In order to participate in the NRA Best Papers Awards 2023-2024, complete the online registration form. The registration fee is ₹ 1000 payable by online money transfer .
What does the Fee Cover?
Novel Research Academy supports NGO, village and tribal school students. Your participation will support underprivileged children’s educational development by providing them with books and uniforms. All of our activities will be updated in the blog section of the Novel Research Academy.
Cancellation Policy
There is no cancellation policy once you have been made the payment. The submitted paper will be evaluated by an expert committee. The last date for the submission of your published paper is 30 th December 2023. We will receive your applications up to 30th December 2023. So please submit now.

About the award
Material Science Research India instituted an annual Best Paper Award to celebrate outstanding research.
As we know that along with creating amazing research, researchers put immense efforts and time behind the scenes for bringing the life-changing research at the forefront of the audience mind. The BEST PAPER AWARD is to provide the recognition to early career researchers who are fantastic at communicating their scientific work to the public, going above and beyond the publication of their academic advances.
The Award will be given annually to the top three papers for three different subject areas. All the three recipients of the award will receive a certificate and different amount of prize money respectively for the high-impact publication.

This award is sponsored by Dr. Syed Aftab Iqbal who is Ex-Director, Crescent College of Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, India having an experience of 35 years of P.G teaching and conducting research on coordination, environmental and drug chemistry since three decades. He has produced 21 Ph. D(s) on various thrust areas of chemistry and at present supervising six candidates, engaged in research for their Ph.D. degree. He is the author and co-author of about 22 books and has a credit of the publication of more than 120 research papers of chemistry. He is Chief Editor of Oriental Journal of Chemistry as well as Executive Editor of 10 International Peer-Reviewed Research Journals. He has presented more than 50 research papers in National and about 10 research papers in International Conferences. He is the reviewer of a number of International Journals and publishers viz; Elsevier, Journal of Saudi Chemical Society, Arabian Journal of Chemistry, PCSIR, Asian Journal of Chemistry, Current World Environment, Biomedical, and Pharmacology Journal, etc.
Dr. Iqbal is the life member and fellow of a number of research and academic societies. He has recently founded an International Chemical Society entitled Researchers Society of Chemical Sciences, India as a founder president. Dr. Iqbal is also working for the Society for Human Welfare and Environment Protection (NGO) since last fifteen years.
Selection Committee
The selection of paper will be done by the Evaluation Committee of four members including the chief Editor and two more editors. Each eligible paper will be read by all members of the evaluation committee and evaluated against the criteria mentioned below. Members of the Selection Committee shall decline to evaluate papers if they have the following special relationships with the author(s) of the papers considered: relatives, students, colleagues, and co-authors. Selection committee choses the best paper out of all of the papers published in a given year in the Journal. Every author who has a paper published in the journal is a candidate for the award in a given year. The final decision will be given by Editor-in-Chief ( Dr. Satyabrata Jit , Professor and Head Department of Electronics Engineering Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi-221005, India)

Selection Process
In selecting the winner, the editors will reflect the ambitions to combine the perspectives of professionalism and organization and take into consideration the technical quality of the paper, the contribution to theory, and the empirical significance of the paper’s findings. They will also consider such factors as innovation, significance to the research community, impact, and the clarity of presentation. The selection of paper will be done in a way that initially during the review process reviewers will recommend the paper which is eligible for the award, and then that paper will be given score by Evaluation committee members, based on the criterion. The score allocated to each paper by each member will then sum up and then the highest scoring papers will be selected for the “BEST PAPER AWARD” category wise. The final decision will be taken by Editor-in-Chief.
Selection Criteria
The assessment and the scoring of the manuscript for the award will be done based on the following criterion:
- The significance of the paper to the field
- Theoretical contribution
- Use of appropriate methodologies
- Clarity of writing and/or presentation.
- Review analytics of paper
- Reach and citation of a paper
Award Distribution
A prize of rupees 25,000 will be awarded to the first paper, followed by the prize money of rupees 15,000 for the second paper and rupees 10,000 for the third paper along with certificate to winning author/s. If best papers have multiple authors then the prize money is divided for each author. The names of the winners are published in the Journal and recognition will be given through social channels.
- The Article processing fee will not be refunded to the author if the paper is selected as the best paper.
- The award only implies for the paper submitted for the issue of Dec 2019 to Dec 2020.
- The prize money will be transferred through banking channels (Bank Draft/Money Transfer).
Terms and Conditions
- The date of award announcement will be after the issue release of December 2020.
- The recipient will agree to publish his/her photo to share on social channels.
- Only the winner’s picture along with a certificate will be shared.
- The decision of selection committee is final and no comments are entertained regarding the awardee.

Shastri Best Research Paper Awards (SBRPA) 2022-23

The Shastri Best Research Paper Awards will be presented annually to Shastri fellows whose work has been published in a peer-reviewed journal with a high impact factor. Ideally, the paper should have appeared in a high-impact factor journal between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. The first authors should submit applications. A significant highlight of the competition is the high quality of the work produced by the SICI awardees and their collaborators.
There will be two categories for the Shastri Best Paper Awards i.e. Science (STEM and allied) and social science (HUSS and allied). Each category will be considered for one award.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a Shastri fellowship/grant awardee;
- The published paper must be based on a SICI-funded project;
- The publishing date on the journal must be between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022;
- Papers co-authored by students and faculty are eligible;
- A paper jointly co-authored by a Canadian and Indian researcher will be seen favorably.
Application Process
- A cover letter to the Programme Officer clearly stating the paper's significance to the discipline, contribution in conceiving and carrying out the research, and evidence of why the paper should be considered for the award.
- A copy of the published paper with an indication of the published date;
- Proof of being a Shastri Awardee
- The cover letter should be a maximum of 350 words, no longer than one page.

Evaluation Criteria
Papers will be evaluated on overall quality and potential significance to the field based on the information requested in the cover letter from the first author.

Plagiarism and Patch-Writing
Plagiarism and patch-writing are not acceptable. All content not the author’s own intellectual thought (even if the content paraphrases intellectual property of other researchers) should be properly referenced. All manuscripts are automatically put through similarity detection software, and the results are evaluated by the editors. Manuscripts containing plagiarised material or (excessive) patch-writing will be rejected, without the option of revision or resubmission.

The article will be published in the 2023:4 issue. The author of the winning article will be honoured with an award of 500.00 € and with a complimentary subscription to Libri for 2024.
If the quality of competition warrants, some papers may be designated as honourable mention and the authors will receive complementary subscriptions to Libri for 2024. All winners will receive access to e-prints of their winning submission.

PIERS —— A global symposium committed to advancing photonics and electromagnetics for the benefit of humanity.
To encourage more students to present their good research results in PIERS, Best Student Papers will be awarded after their presentation in each PIERS. Three Prize Winners (First, Second, and Third Prizes) and 1-2 Honorable Mentions will be selected for each category (SC1 to SC5) by the PIERS Young Scientist Program Committee. Each winner will receive a cash award and a banquet ticket to attend the Award Ceremony.
A student competing for best student paper award must be listed as the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted for ORAL presentation. A full-length paper is required for the evaluation of the technical quality. The full-length paper should be submitted by the full-length paper submission deadline and registered by the pre-registration deadline. The final score is 50%*(paper review score) + 50%*(presentation score).
