Assign IRQ For VGA

Quick Review

This BIOS feature controls whether the BIOS should assign an IRQ to the graphics card.

When enabled , an IRQ is assigned to the graphics card. When disabled , the graphics card will not be assigned an IRQ.

While there are some exceptions, most graphics cards require an IRQ to work properly. Therefore, it is recommended that you enable this feature for proper operation of your graphics card.

How to assign IRQ to a video card?

• Take other cards out (physically) and possibly put them back to place if situation corrects itself up.
• Change settings in BIOS, I see at the specified place all the IRQs but all of those are at the 'not reserved' state. And when I look other options for it comes only one 'reserved' but it dosen't specify for what device it would be reserved. Or is it even needed.

The IRQ’s can be assigned manually through BIOS, and again it not recommended without guidance of the manufacturer’s. I would suggest you to check with the manufacturer’s support for more information regarding the issue.

Important: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
