How can I get better results in my font matches?

To get the best font matches:

Upload a high quality image where letters are large and clear, not blurry or pixelated.

Crop out extraneous shapes or glyphs using image editing software.

Keep the text horizontal. The font detector can identify glyphs with the most success when text is not rotated, distorted, or modified.

If Method 1 fails, try Method 2 to better identify glyphs.

Skip letters or characters that may lower accuracy.

If glyphs or characters aren’t found, increase the contrast and brightness of the image so the letters stand out. This helps the font analyzer extract your text and provide accurate results.

How can I identify text in multiple font styles?

If you want to detect several fonts in your image, either break it into separate images or crop it with our easy-to-use tool.

After uploading, highlight the first font and ensure the glyph boxes select each letter. “Matcherate It!” and pick the best match! Then repeat the process with the same image and highlight the second font.

Google Announces Imagen 3, Its Latest AI Text-to-Image Generator

“…this is our best model yet for generating text, which has been a challenge for image generation models. In side-by-side comparisons, independent evaluators preferred Imagen 3 over other popular image generation models.” – Demis Hassabis, head of Google DeepMind

Demis also gives us some reference, comparing the latest AI media generator with its predecessor, the Imagen 2. In comparison, Imagen 3 is apparently more “creative and detailed” . He also adds that,

Plus, this is our best model yet for generating text, which has been a challenge for image generation models.”

Here, you will see that by default, the tool uses Imagen 2. However, for “Best Quality”, you will be able to use Imagen 3, which requires you to request access . Then, you will be required to fill up a quick Google Form and once you submit it, cross your fingers and hope to get access soonest. As for developers and enterprise customers, they will be getting access to it “soon” via Vertex AI .

Google's Updated AI Image Generator Creates Photorealistic Pictures With Legible Text

Google announced Imagen 3 , the latest version of its image generation model, at its I/O developer event on Tuesday.

Imagen 3 yields more photorealistic images, including details like sunlight or whiskers on animals. It also remembers to include smaller details like wildflowers or birds in longer prompts.

Throughout 2024 so far, we've seen a flurry of image and video generation models from the likes of OpenAI , Adobe and Google itself as they seek to expand chatbots far beyond text and win over users. 

According to Douglas Eck, senior research director at Google, Imagen 3 is Google's best model yet for rendering text, which has been a challenge for image generation models.

"It understands prompts written the way people write," he said. "The more creative and detailed you are, the better."

The latest version also generates fewer distorted images.

It follows the release of Imagen 2 in December 2023.

Signups for access to Imagen 3 open today and it will be coming soon to developers and enterprise customers in Vertex AI.

Meet Veo, Google's most advanced text-to-video generator, unveiled at Google I/O 2024

AI image generators were all the rage in 2023, but now companies are shifting focus to the next frontier -- AI video generation. With OpenAI unveiling its AI text-to-video generator, Sora, in February 2024, it was only a matter of time before Google did the same. 

On Tuesday, at its annual Google I/O developer conference , Google unveiled Veo, its most advanced text-to-video generator, capable of generating videos with 1080p resolution that are over one minute long.

In addition to the high-quality output, Google says that Veo provides users with an "unprecedented level of creative control." The AI generator's deeper understanding of natural language enables Veo to deliver more details from longer prompts and to understand cinematic terms like "timelapse" or "aerial shots."

Additionally, the video generator can tackle a common problem with video generation -- the fluidity of shots. According to Google, Veo can create consistent footage, with different subjects such as people, animals, and objects moving realistically in the shots. 

Google isn't new to video generation. The company noted that this model builds on all its prior video-generating projects, including Imagen-Video, VideoPoet, and  Lumiere .

Like OpenAI's Sora, Google's Veo is not available to the public yet. Rather, Google is sharing Veo first with select creators in a private preview inside VideoFX. Google does, however, invite that you join a waitlist to eventually try the model.
