Still a wide and important manner of organizing items, demand is one form of grouping items because low and moderate demand items, although they may have a great worth, the item may not be able to obtain its worth and/or is not worth more because Jammers are not willing to trade for an item that many people do not want. For this reason, items such as the Rare Giant Frog Statue, which is very rare to see, goes for only Teal Rare Raccoon Tail.
Release Year
Items may also be categorized by their year of release. Generally, items that have been unavailable longer than others are worth more than ones that recently went out of store.
Release Audience
The least utilized form of cataloging items is for which audience Animal Jam Headquarters released the item to, nonmembers or members.

Wind-Up Key – Play Wild Beta Item
If you are looking for very unique and original clothing items in Play Wild, you can’t go wrong with the Wind-Up Key. This is one of the first clothing items that was ever released into the game. It is worn on the back, and will make your avatar look like a Wind-Up Toy.
Originally, the Wind-Up Key was released during the Beta Testing phase of Play Wild. It was sold at Jam Mart Clothing for 500 Gems. Today, we are going to take a closer look at the Wind-Up Key.
Wind-Up Key AJPW Appearance
The Wind-Up Key looks exactly like you would expect. It is a simple key that you usually find on the back of wind-up toys. After twisting the key a few times, the toy will then move for a short period of time. The Wind-Up Key is supposed to make your avatar look like a wind-up toy.
The shape of the key looks like the number eight, and there is a short stick on it. There are a total of six different variants available. It should also be noted that the beta testing variant of the Wind-Up Key looked slightly different.
How to Get a Wind-Up Key in Play Wild
The Wind-Up Key was available at Jam Mart Clothing for a number of times. The first time it was released was during March 2015, which was the Beta Testing Phase of Play Wild. After that, the item reappeared a total of three more times, until it was finally removed again on September 30, 2018. This means that you are no longer able to purchase the item with Gems, or win it as a prize at the Pack Champion event.
The only option you have to obtain the Wind-Up Key is to trade for it. You will have to keep in mind that it might not be easy to find a trader for this particular item. However, if you own any duplicate items, you may find some interesting traders.
The best way to find traders in Play Wild is by going to crowded locations, such as the Jamaa Township. Simply ask around if anyone has a Wind-Up Key, and if they are willing to trade it with you.
Wind-Up Key Codes for PW
Unfortunately, there are currently no codes available for the Wind-Up Key. If I manage to find a working code, I will make sure to update this post to let you all know. Be sure to leave a comment down below if you are looking to trade for a Wind-Up Key.

The Rare Old Hood was originally released in the Beta Testing at Jam Mart Clothing. It was released in July 2015 until May 2016. It hasn't returned since then. It was given a "Rare!" tag on June 3, 2020.
Note: The Rare Old Hood has a RIM variant. Watch out for the differences - the original will never be green and gray in color.
Note: The RIM variant is currently available from the Phlob Phantom in the Phantom Dimension.
Note: The Rare Old Hood has a Super Sweets variant. Watch out for the differences - the original will never be purple and orange in color.
Note: The Golden Yellow and Yellow and Orange look alike. Don’t get scammed.

I've played AJ (classic) for 10 years and have a pretty good amount of good items. I'm a senior in highschool, and I decided to try to get into rare collecting on AJPW, since I already have a lot of great items on AJ classic. I've been playing AJPW for about 5 yrs, on and off. Halloween rares will only be obtainable on October 31st. I have gotten the rares for this year they include: the crystal Pegasus set, the Nutcracker set and the Lightning set. The sets come in lime green, dark purple, and orange. There's also a midnight tarantula, a lelani coin, and some new crafting crystals, as well as a new alpha aurora crown.

Clothing: Rare but not super rare items- Nutcracker boots (regular) are around 400-500 sapphires. Rare firefly friend (the blueish one) goes for about the same. Spikes, such as the black one, go for the same amount as well. Other spikes, not including super rare rare ones like blackout and whiteout, go for 200 sapphires or less.

The Rare Forest Gauntlets were later discontinued in May 2016. This item was later given a "Rare!" tag on June 3, 2020. The Rare Forest Set can be found here..
