Nearly 25 percent of the world's total land area suffers from degradation. Restoring these landscapes can provide a wide range of benefits, including food security, biodiversity conservation, enhanced local incomes and cleaner water. Recognizing this, several global and regional initiatives such as the Bonn Challenge , the New York Declaration on Forests , AFR100 in Africa and Initiative 20x20 in Latin America, have committed to restoring millions of hectares of land by 2030.

But restoration is complex: each landscape has a different set of needs, actors and natural conditions. Transforming these large-scale restoration commitments into project-level implementation requires thorough planning, complete with clear pathways, tools and guidance.

People often use ‘mineral water’ and ‘spring water’ interchangeably. This is because there are some similarities. Often time the distinction is that spring water is specifically sourced from a spring.

Purified Water

This is water that would have undergone a number of purification processes. These purification processes will be meant to get rid of chemical and solid contaminants. The original source of the water can be tap water or ground water. The common purification processes involved are filtration, reverse osmosis, and distillation, amongst others.

Sparkling Water

This can also be called soda water; it is also known as carbonated water. When you drink it feels as if you are drinking a fizzy drink. That is why some call it fizzy water. It is also commonly known as club soda. Sparkling water is a result of infusing water with carbon dioxide under pressure.

Flavoured Water

This is water that would have had natural or artificial flavors added to it. The flavors can be added as one or as a blend of several flavors. They are usually fruit flavors e.g. lemon, lime, orange, raspberry, mint, and blackberry, amongst others.

Highly recommended company We had a big water damage that first call restoration was able to handle it very well We didn't need to be about anything. A team of professionals with highly knowledgeable people.

We had a toilet break and spew water for about 7-8 hours over night. Contacted First Call Restoration the following morning, they were in by mid-day (on a Saturday), with water removed, carpet brought up, and dryers in by 5pm. Everyone from First Call (I worked with Mahan, Vahid, and Morty) worked with us over the next while to both make sure the house frame was dry and aid in restoration of the affected space. They were always on time, always happy to answer whatever questions I had, and were quite patient in dealing with insurance and other issues, and well as putting us in touch with other services when we also needed environmental testing. While I certainly hope I never need water remediation services again, I wouldn't hesitate to use First Call again if I do. They made a painful situation much easier.

Highly satisfied with their service and rate. They came out to fix our master bath leak that had damaged the ceiling of our living room downstairs. They also took care of our garbage disposal leak that happened at the same time they were there to fix the master bath leak. Their team is very professional and fixed our issue quickly. Our water heater leaked and caused water and mold damage to the adjacent bed room and closet. I called several companies for estimate to remediate and restoration. Toilet water line burst and flooded both levels of my house. I contacted a couple of companies, but First Call Restoration was the only one that could come out at 2:30 in the morning. Mahan was very professional, walked me through the process, and let me know that everything would get taken cared of. After getting there at 3am, they came back with a larger crew later in the morning. We then found out that they could do the work after the restoration! We look forward to working with them as we get our house back in order.

We went through a terrible experience with water damage to our rental home, all in all I am thankful to Mahan from First Call Restoration. Mahan worked fast to asses the damages and did his best to educate us and guide us through the horrible world of insurance claims. Mahan is a great communicator and provided us immediate updates on the findings and progress of our home. I do appreciate the knowledge he shared with us and advice on how best to approach our situation. Unfortunately our insurance (AAA) essentially denied our claim; the incurred cost was not what we expected but Mahan worked with us to settle with a fair payment.
