Synchronize Person Assignment from Position Process
To synchronize the position changes with the affected assignments, run the Synchronize Person Assignments from Position process. The Initialize Position Synchronization process to load position synchronization changes is incorporated into the Synchronize Person Assignments from Position process.
The Synchronize Person Assignments from Position process is triggered in these scenarios.
- Assignment update causing a date-effective split.
- Direct report assignment change because of change in assignment. This might be due to either position change or termination of the manager.
- Position update causing a date-effective split.
- Parent position change.
Position Synchronization Configuration
- Position synchronization configuration update either at the enterprise or the legal entity level.
Run the Synchronize Person Assignment from Position to:
Update affected assignments in the enterprise or legal entity if position synchronization is enabled (either initially or later, as a change).
Prevent data corruption
Synchronize the line manager based on the HCM position hierarchy.
Synchronize action reason based on the position action reason and the available action reasons under Synchronization from Position action.
Update assignments affected by the position changes, uploaded using HCM Data Loader.
Use the Schedule New Process page in the Scheduled Processes work area to run the Synchronize Person Assignment from Position process.
Before you run the process, you must enable position synchronization on the Manage Enterprise HCM Information or Manage Legal Entity HCM Information tasks in the Setup and Maintenance work area
Process Parameters
Past Period to Be Considered in Days
Number of days in the past to be considered for updating the attribute in the assignments. The default value is 30 days. Note that even if position synchronization was enabled in the past and you loaded position data with an effective date of 6 months back, you don’t need to specify 180 days as the number of days. This is because the process detects the effective date and the last updated date of the position data. You can enter 2 days as the parameter value though changes are effective 6 months back.
Run at Enterprise Level
Select Yes to run the process for the enterprise, or No to run it for a specific legal entity.
Legal Entity
Legal entity for which you want to run the process.
Process Results
This process updates all affected assignments with the changes from the position. This includes:
Changes due to position synchronization.
Past or future-dated changes to the position hierarchy.
Rollback of line manager changes in assignments for reverse termination.
Line manager hierarchy changes
Flexfield-mapping changes.
Changes in position loaded using HCM Data Loader
It all comes crashing down for Connor Brogdon, a reliever the Phillies once cherished
PHILADELPHIA — Connor Brogdon was at his locker with a few days to go in spring training when Mike Calitri, the Phillies bench coach, put his hand on the reliever’s back. They wanted to see him in the manager’s office. Brogdon, a lanky righty with a good changeup, shuffled down the hallway. He has always wrestled with a lack of self-confidence — something he has openly admitted — and he knew he had not pitched well this spring.
He made the team.
Brogdon returned to his locker and sat there for a moment. He changed out of his shorts and into pinstripe pants because it was time to play catch. He had a job. This did not feel like something he should celebrate; Brogdon, in his mind, had not earned it.
He had to prove something.
“Every day I feel like I’m right there,” Brogdon said Monday night. “And I felt like I was right there today.”
It’s unfair to suggest the Phillies lost 6-3 to the Cincinnati Reds because of Brogdon. The Phillies scored two runs in the first inning, then none in the next eight. Johan Rojas pinch ran for Kyle Schwarber in the eighth inning and was promptly picked off. Rob Thomson aggressively managed his bullpen, expecting a rainout Tuesday, but that left him with only Brogdon or Nick Nelson for the 10th inning.
Brogdon walked two hitters, then surrendered a grand slam on a 92 mph fastball. As soon as he heard the crack of the bat, Brogdon put his hands on his knees.
It’s difficult to watch someone lose their job in real-time because, in all likelihood, Brogdon threw his last pitch for the Phillies on Monday night. He made the team only because of injuries to Taijuan Walker and Orion Kerkering. He was out of minor-league options. The Phillies hoped the 29-year-old pitcher could recapture his form with an adrenaline bump in the regular season.
He was the last man in the bullpen, a role that often should not be scrutinized. Brogdon’s job was to enter the lowest-leverage situations and throw strikes. He could not do that over the weekend against the Atlanta Braves.
And, then, the game found him Monday night.
“I mean, I don’t even know how many balls I’d thrown in a row before I showed him a strike,” Brogdon said. “So, at that point, I was just like, ‘Man, just throw the ball in the zone.’ Yeah. I mean, you just can’t leave a ball there to a big-league hitter. He’s going to hit it out.”
Brogdon answered question after question and, as he did so, Dave Dombrowski and Sam Fuld took an elevator downstairs. The two Phillies executives needed to talk to Thomson and his pitching coaches. Brogdon was holding a place for Kerkering, who is expected to return April 9 and departed Monday for a brief trip to the Florida State League so he can pitch somewhere where it won’t rain.
Kerkering is the club’s latest homegrown bullpen hope. But, once upon a time, Brogdon was that . He fell into academic trouble at a junior college in California, then transferred to a tiny place in Lewiston, Idaho, called Lewis-Clark State College. A Phillies amateur scout saw Brogdon as a starter there and admired his potential, even with a sharp drop in velocity. The scout, Hilton Richardson, thought Brogdon could be a reliever.
The Phillies drafted Brogdon in the 10th round in 2017. He signed for $5,000 and five years later, he pitched in the World Series. He struck out seven of the 14 batters he faced. He blew an elevated 96 mph fastball past Yordan Alvarez. He was invincible.
“I just feel like,” Brogdon said, “it’s just been kind of a constant journey of trying to find the right stuff mechanically.”
He has not been right for months. Almost a year, really. The Phillies demoted Brogdon to the minors last June and he never returned. He toiled at Triple A as the Phillies raced to another postseason without him. He became a father after the season. He came to spring training knowing his future was unsettled.
He walked off the mound on Monday at 9:30 p.m. ET to a chorus of boos.
The Phillies, like most teams, treat April baseball differently than every other month. The games are managed with care. This strategy has benefited the Phillies in each of the past two seasons; their pitchers have reached a different gear in October. They have stayed healthy, for the most part. It comes with a short-term cost: The Phillies will not pull every possible lever to win games in April. A manager once tried that in Philadelphia and alienated all of his relievers within the first two weeks of the season.
Thomson could have pushed Cristopher Sánchez past 85 pitches or used one of his best relievers for more than one inning, or had Seranthony Domínguez and Gregory Soto pitch for a third consecutive day.
“If we’re in July or August, sure,” Thomson said. “This early, I’m not going to take a chance.”
“We’re trying to stay away from those guys as much as we could,” Thomson said. “But you have to try and win the ballgame at the same time. If it’s later in the year, you don’t really think too much about it. Early in the year, it’s on your mind.”
This is why the most aggressive — and deepest organizations — churn through one or two bullpen spots in April. The Los Angeles Dodgers purchased Nabil Crismatt ’s contract on Sunday, pitched him in a game, then designated him for assignment so they could purchase Dinelson Lamet ’s contract. The New York Yankees designated two relievers for assignment in the past two days and made a small trade to acquire another.
The Phillies were afraid to risk losing depth because they have not developed relievers. Brogdon is the only draft pick in the current bullpen. They signed Domínguez as an amateur free agent. Everyone else was acquired by free agency or trade.
Luis Ortiz, a pitcher the Phillies were counting on in April, sprained his ankle over the weekend. There are relievers at Triple A who could help — José Ruiz , Ryan Burr , Andrew Bellatti , Michael Mercado — and maybe one of them replaces Brogdon.
It will just be another transaction. It does not dull the anguish of watching Brogdon spiral from a trusted reliever to this.
“There are pitches where I’m thinking of every step I go through in my entire delivery,” Brogdon said. “Yeah, I’m just kind of scrambled out there right now.”

Plan your day with My Day
My Day is a clutter-free focus space that helps you stay on top of tasks that you want to focus on today. Tasks from My Tasks and personal plans that are due today will show up in My Day. You can also create tasks that you feel are important and may need your attention.
Your daily dashboard:
Handpicked priorities: Determine and add your main tasks for the day.
Auto-population: Tasks from My Tasks and personal plans that are due today automatically appear on My Day, keeping you on top of important deadlines.
Prioritize and work on these tasks: Once the tasks are on My Day, you can prioritize the tasks in the order you want to accomplish them today.

Track your tasks in My Tasks
Planner offers a purpose-built My Tasks view, designed to centralize all the tasks relevant to you. My Tasks is organized into four distinct views, each serving a unique purpose:
Private tasks : Private tasks is a place for you to quickly jot down tasks at the speed of thought. This is a place where you can create tasks that do not belong to a plan yet. You can then further organize these tasks inside Plans by selecting More actions, which will help you move these unorganized tasks in definitive plans.
Assigned to me : Includes all of the tasks that have been assigned to you in Teams meeting notes, basic plans, premium plans, Loop component, and shared lists in To Do.
Flagged emails : All your flagged emails from Outlook appear in the Flagged emails section. You can also navigate to the emails directly from the task by selecting the attachment.
All : The All view provides an aggregation of all your individual tasks from Private tasks, Assigned to me, and Flagged emails. You can then filter and sort to meet your needs. For example, if you want to see all your tasks that are due tomorrow and are urgent, just apply the filter on this view and you will get a curated list of tasks.
See all of your plans with My Plans
The My Plans page in Planner shows all of your plans, no matter where they were created. This includes lists created in To Do, plans created in Planner and Project for the web, Loop plans, plans from Teams meeting notes, and more.
The My Plans page provides five filters to help find the right plan or list:
Recent: Shows your most recently accessed plans and lists.
Shared: Shows your shared plans and lists.
Personal: Shows your personal plans and lists.
Pinned: Shows all plans and lists you have pinned.
My teams: Shows all of your plans that are shared with a Team’s channel.
Tip: Use keywords to quickly find plans and lists by selecting Filter by keyword .
Create new plans
With plans, you can easily manage your team workload, track work towards team goals, organize work into sprints using agile planning, track dependencies on the timeline view, and more.

The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee has approved the 11 game officials recommended by Penny Davis, the national coordinator of women's basketball officiating, to work Friday's two national semifinal games and Sunday's national championship game. A three-person crew will work each Women's Final Four game, while two officials will serve as the standby officials for all three contests.
The NCAA has notified these 11 individuals that they have been selected to work the 2024 Women's Final Four, which will be played at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland:
- Gina Denise Cross.
- Angelica Janell Suffren.

- Roy Gulbeyan.
- Eric Brewton.
- Katie Lukanich.
- Melissa Barlow.
- In'Fini Robinson.
- Tiffany Bird Nelson.
- Brenda Pantoja.
- Brian Hall.
"These experienced officials delivered consistent and elite performances throughout the series of tournament games this year," Davis said. "Their work on the floor has led to their selections for these upcoming assignments. It's an honor to be selected for any tournament assignment, but to advance to these final games is not only an honor but bears an immense amount of responsibility. This group is prepared and ready!"
Barlow will be officiating in her 12th women's Final Four. Vaszily was selected for the 10th time. Pantoja was selected for the eighth time, and Cross was selected to work her fifth Final Four. Suffren and Bird Nelson have been selected for a women's Final Four for the third time. Lukanich and Brewton were selected for the second time. Friday's first semifinal features Albany 1 Region champion and undefeated No. 1 overall seed South Carolina facing NC State, the No. 3 seed and champion of the Portland 4 Region. South Carolina is making its fourth consecutive Final Four appearance and sixth overall, while NC State is heading to the Final Four for just the second time in program history and the first time since 1998. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Eastern time.
The second semifinal game, which is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, features the Albany 2 Region champion and No. 1 seed Iowa against the Portland 3 Region champion and No. 3 seed UConn. The Hawkeyes will be making their second consecutive and third overall appearance in the Women's Final Four and are seeking their first national title.
