Lebanon’s infrastructure has been modified tremendously in the last eight years. Millions of dollars have been budgeted to bring all productive sectors to the operational level acceptable under the influence of the uncertainties presented by the external environment. The health sector has been a demanding industry that has upgraded itself many folds. Lifting itself from a development-lag caused by eighteen years of war impacting technology as well as the management system used to cope with the chaotic situation prevailing. The health sector represented mainly by the hospitals has gone through an extensive exercise of evaluating strategies and plans so that to survive the hidden agenda that competition was preparing. The purpose of this paper is to create a sustainable solution paper (SSP) for the Moroccan Attijariwafa Bank (AB). Strategic entrepreneurship which merges strategic management and entrepreneurship is an essential formula for a good business. An entrepreneurial mindset (opportunity seeking) augurs well for effective strategy making (advantage seeking) to caution against uncertainty. Local News | Painesville City Council adopts 2024-27 strategic plan
Plan goals include stable economic growth, improved quality of life.
Painesville City Council recently wrapped up an approximately year-long strategic planning process, adopting a plan for 2024-27 that sets goals for the city’s economy, infrastructure, operations and quality of life.
The plan was described by multiple council members as a “living document,” and Council President Jim Fodor said in March that it would “take a life of its own” as city officials worked to implement it. Council will also be able to modify the document.
Fodor added that the document could help new officials understand council’s priorities.
“The strategic plan is really that 10,000-foot view,” he said at a later meeting.
One goal for the plan is to promote economic prosperity, with the objective of providing city departments with the finances that they need to implement improvement plans.
The plan calls for funding to come from stable economic growth from new and existing businesses. It also calls for city utilities to develop plans that will avoid deficits.
“We weren’t looking to increase taxes, but what we were looking for is providing adequate financial resources to implement each department’s three-to-five-year plan,” Fodor said.
The second goal is to evaluate and improve the city’s roads and sidewalks, as well as its water, electric, stormwater and water pollution control departments.
The plan’s third goal is to create processes to improve city systems. Strategies include offering professional development programs for department heads, starting an ambassador program to connect council members and city stakeholders and evaluating and improving service to residents and businesses.
Finally, the plan calls for improving quality of life by engaging local seniors and evaluating and improving the city’s recreation offerings.
The plan’s mission statement and four key values remain the same as in council’s last plan , which ran from 2018-2022. The document’s mission is “to ensure and improve the quality of life and growth of our community,” while the four key values are listed as respect, resourcefulness, integrity and commitment.

Handbook for Strategic Review and Operational Planning 4 Once a strategic plan is developed and approved, staff at all levels should develop detailed Operational Plans, which translate the general strategies outlined in the strategic plan into a comprehensive packag e of specific activities (Question #4) that will best help us to implement the strategies.
Overcoming Challenges and Pitfalls. Challenge of consensus over clarity. Challenge of who provides input versus who decides. Preparing a long, ambitious, 5 year plan that sits on a shelf. Finding a balance between process and a final product. Communicating and executing the plan. Lack of alignment between mission, action, and finances.
Conclusion: A strategic plan needs to be adaptive to survive changing or unanticipated conditions. An organization that develops and executes a strategic plan gains significantly from the experience, and starting with a working model and then building a tangible plan can be more successful for your organization than having no plan at all.
