My point is: there will always be Filipinos in search for fruits and vegetables in the Philippines. Preferably, farm-fresh, rot-less and plump fruits and veggies. However, the precise answer for this question will base on your feasibility study . In a nutshell, a feasibility study is a form of detailed research to assess the likelihood of success of a given project. All forms of venture, applying for a job, acquiring a new property, starting a business, etc. require a feasibility study to keep you from being blindsided by the perils of your choices.

In my humble opinion, based on my observation in our community, this place could use more fruits and vegetable businesses. But that may vary from your perspective (unless kapitbahay kita). Let me give you a quick run-through of how feasibility studies work:

Starting a business means solving felt needs. Does your community require fruits and vegetables or do you live among carnivores? If the latter, then a fruits and veggies business might not be a smart move. Moreover, if there are competitors around, do you think they’re serving an unserved need? Check their produce for freshness and their scales for accuracy. These are elements you can leverage if ever you start your own business.

  • Conduct a market survey

This is where you’ll review the demographics, popular trends, and purchasing power of the people in your locality. For example, if you live in a fairly small neighborhood of 1,000 residents and most of them are “ suki ” in fruits and veggie stalls already, it will be extra difficult to pierce through the market. Plus, a rural barangay with limited purchasing power may not be interested in relatively pricier fruit options like strawberries. This allows you to also assess what to offer and what not to.

How much do you need to franchise Fruitas? According to the company, the franchise fee of Fruitas ranges from Php 300,000 to Php 1.5 Million depending on the food cart type.

Franchise inclusions are as follows:

  • Standard Cart (3-4 sq. meter) or Counter (6 sq. meter maximum)

How to Start a Fruit Shake Business

Fruits are generally high in fiber, water, vitamin C, sugars and also contain various phytochemicals that are good for the health. Starting a fresh fruit shake business is a good business venture to start especially more and more people are becoming health conscious.

1pc. Fruit Slicer 6″ (stainless steel) 1pc. Can Opener 1set Measuring Spoon (plastic) 1pc. Measuring Cup (plastic) 1pc. Chopping Board (anti-bacterial) 3pcs. Plastic Bowl 26″ 1pc. Spatula

Equipments:

2 units Blender (unbreakable, 350 watts) 1 unit Kitchen scale (0-1 kg) 1 unit Styrofoam cooler/ice chest (12x18x14) 1 unit Refrigerator (3 cu. ft. personal size)

Plastic Cup (12 oz.) Straw

Ingredients:

1/3 cup or 40 gms. Ripe Mangoes 1/8 cup Evaporated Milk 1 tbsp. Granulated Sugar 3/4 Ice Cubes

Other Flavors/Varieties

1/3 cup or 40 gms. Melon 1/3 cup or 40 gms. Avocados 1/3 cup or 40 gms. Strawberries

1. Choose fresh ripe fruits.

2. Peel and remove seeds (when needed) slice fruits into smaller pieces. Remove seeds.

3. Weigh or measure 40 gms. or 1/3 cup fruit and put in blender. Add milk and sugar.

4. Fasten lid of blender and press start button. Use high speed for about 20-30 seconds.

5. Stop the blender and check to see if the ingredients are well blended. Sometimes fruits will jam under the blade. If there is jammed fruit, use a spatula to unjam then blend again.

6. Once the mixture is evenly blended, slowly add ¾ cup ice cubes. Blend again in high speed for about 15 seconds or until blender sounds smooth.

7. Pour in 12 oz. plastic cup and serve with straw.

Note: May mix 2 kinds of fruits together, adjust measurement of each fruit to ¼ cup.
