How to Format a Fax Cover Sheet

The fax cover sheet is faxed to the person who’s getting your facsimile document before the actual document is faxed. While a fax cover sheet is optional, the information on the cover sheet tells them who you are, who the fax is for and how many sheets you are sending.

Standard Format Fax Cover Sheet

A fax cover sheet that’s set up with a standard format can be used for any business department and any type of fax, according to Microsoft Office. The standard format for a fax cover sheet includes a simple design and only a few key pieces of information. You need to note who the fax is going to and who it’s from as well as the fax and phone numbers of both parties. Also include a subject line, date and any comments the recipient needs to know about when reading the fix.

Using a Fax Cover Sheet Template

As a best-practice in business, some companies include a fax cover sheet with all fax messages sent. The reasoning behind this is that it provides immediate identification of your company. It can add to your branding efforts, and by letting the recipient know who the document is for can inspire the recipient to read and share the information you send with the right person or people.

Omitting a Fax Cover Sheet

Some businesses dislike the wasted paper when receiving a fax cover letter. The people at these businesses cite facts like the information is all included in the fax itself, so there’s no need to include a fax cover letter.

The purpose of this study was to develop “The Scale of Determining Self-Directed Learning Implementing Skills” for primary school students. Data were gathered by a survey method. In order to develop this scale, draft items was developed through a literature survey (tarama), observations and interviews done with teachers, parents and students, and presented to experts for evaluation. After alterations based on experts’ suggestions, a pilot study with 16 primary students was held to revise the items. This paper analyzes the written reflections of 18 freshman students in a self-directed learning course. In the pilot course, it was found that the depth of students’ reflections was limited to mainly short answers or surface reflections. Students reported that they found it difficult to understand the concept of reflecting on learning. A new course that placed more emphasis on various levels of reflection was designed with the specific aim of helping students to reflect more deeply on their learning so that they could be more aware of why they were doing what they were doing and see their accomplishments. The course culminated in a final 500-word report in which the students were asked to reflect on what they learned about themselves (the mirror), strengths and weaknesses they identified in their learning (the microscope) and how this connected to their life outside the classroom and into the future (the binoculars).
