1. Phone Work

The position involves offering customer support in whatever form necessary.  This could be answering calls, responding to chat messages or emails .  You will ensure that the customer has a positive experience while talking to you.  This means having a smile on your face, empathizing with unhappy customers and building brand loyalty.  You need to be someone who loves helping people and ensuring that their issues are resolved in the shortest time possible. 5 companies known for offering a flexible schedule are Liveops, West at Home, and USA Contact Point.

2. Data Entry

The flexible remote job job entails processing data and information usually in large amounts.  You would be entering the data into a computer or in a secure file system.  You may also have to do a few other clerical jobs.  It is important that you have a good typing speed since that will be a large part of what you will be doing from day-to-day.  The work can be done on a full-time or part-time basis and the opportunities to telecommute are easily available.

3. Transcription

These usually come in 3 categories, medical transcription, legal transcription and general transcription.  For medical and legal you may need to have some specialized training or some experience.  However, for the general transcription, you can start without any training.  The job will entail listening to an audio file and then typing out word-for-word, what you are hearing.  You only need a computer with high-speed internet in order to get started.

4. Micro Jobs and Tasks

Many jobs offer flexibility, remote working options, and promises of lots of income, but they can turn out to be a bust. These are all real online jobs for stay-at-home moms that you can actually use to earn income from home to support your family.

So, whether you only have a few moments to work while the baby naps or are looking for virtual part-time jobs , this list has something for you.

The Best Online Jobs for Stay-at-Home Moms

1. bookkeeping.

Bookkeeping  is one of the best work-from-home jobs that earn you quite a bit of money from the get-go. All types of businesses need bookkeepers to keep track of income and expenses, so the demand is fairly high.

The average full-time bookkeeper earns about $45,860 per year. When working from home, you can choose to work part-time or full-time or  start your own bookkeeping business . While the second one is more work, you have the potential to earn more as you set your hourly wage.

To start as a bookkeeper, you will need to take a course or training.

Becoming a virtual assistant  is a relatively new and booming career path. Virtual assistants work remotely and help business owners from afar with their day-to-day tasks.

Take a  look at any job board , and you will see a high demand for  social media managers.  It’s almost a requirement that businesses have social media accounts. They require a lot of work to run, so many companies outsource that work to individuals.

As a social media manager, you can specialize in any platform you like, whether that’s editing TikTok videos or managing a Facebook group.

For some roles, no experience is required, but you should have a love for the platform and know your way around it. You may also want to consider taking a social media management course to learn the business side of things. For more advanced social media jobs , you’ll need prior work experience and/or a degree in marketing.

Customer service is a great job for those who don’t want to invest in any training and are comfortable talking on the phone. As a  customer service representative , you will answer customer questions and concerns via phone, email, social media, and online chat.

Most remote customer service representatives work on a set schedule to ensure the right amount of coverage to help customers. However, many companies will allow you to request specific hours to fit your schedule, and many have day, night , and weekend hours, but it doesn’t have the same flexibility as other suggestions on this list for stay-at-home jobs.

One perk of freelancing is that you can take on as many or as few projects as your schedule allows. 

Besides offering freelance services, you can also earn passive income by creating designs, fonts, templates, printables , and patterns and selling them repeatedly on an online marketplace like Etsy or Creative Market . 

18. Data Entry Clerk

Do you have fast and accurate typing skills? If so, working on simple data entry tasks is a viable way to earn a little extra money. How much you can earn varies depending on the number of followers you have, engagement rates, which platforms are being used, and your target niche. As a UGC creator, you’ll create content for brands, such as unboxing videos and reviews, and they will, in turn, use this content for their social media platforms. The content is generally not shared on your platforms.
