Worksheet 3

This body parts worksheet includes 10 jumbled up words. Students must unscramble the letters to make a word and then write the correct spelling of the word in the box provided.

Worksheet 4

This worksheet is a body parts word search. It includes 12 words related to parts of the body in English. To complete the word search, students should find the body part names in the grid and then check off the words at the bottom of the worksheet once they have found them.

Worksheet 5

To complete this worksheet, students should look at the picture and write down the correct name of that part of the body in English three times. This worksheet is great for kids and beginner English students to practice writing the names of the parts of the body in English.

Worksheet 6

This last worksheet is a printable body parts board game. To play, students should play rock, scissors, paper and the winner gets to move their game piece one square. Then, the students should make a sentence based on the image in that square. For example, “He has a big nose.”, “Touch your head.”, etc. Next, students should play rock, scissors, paper again, and the winner will again move their game piece, and then make a sentence using the body part word in that square. The first student to make it all the way around the world is the winner.

To learn science is to learn about life, because all physical aspects of life are governed by the laws of science. Here we provide lessons on the various areas of science that typically appear in both national and international syllabi at Grade 1 level.

The human body

The human body is made up of different parts that have different functions. Look at the labelled diagram below to understand more about the basic parts of the human body.

Your face has different parts, as shown in the image above.

You have two hands, and on each hand, there are five fingers. You can do activities such as painting, using your arms, hands and fingers. You have two feet also, and on each foot, there are five toes. You can walk, run and jump with your legs, feet and toes.

The five senses

You have five senses. The five sense organs are your eyes, nose, tongue, ears and skin. The five senses are sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

You see with your eyes. Through the use of your eyes, you learn how things look. For example, using the computer. Your eyes can identify about 10 million different colours.

Your ears let you hear sounds.A healthy young person has a hearing range of 20 to 20,000 hertz. As humans get older, their hearing abilities get worse.

Your ears help you to learn how things sound. Sounds can be loud like an airplane taking off. Sounds can also be soft, like the whispering of a friend.

You smell with your nose. Your nose helps you to know how things smell. Though humans’ capacity to smell is not as good as that of animals, it is still very sharp. We can identify thousands of different smells. Some things smell good, while there are things that smell really bad.

You taste with your tongue. It helps you to know how food tastes. The tongue can recognize a variety of tastes such as sour, sweet, salty and bitter. Our tongue has taste buds that are sensory organs that let us experience different tastes.

You touch things with your skin. Your skin helps you to know how things feel. It is the largest organ in the body, and has receptors that sense touch.

Things can feel either soft or hard.

They can be either smooth or rough.
