Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) Postpones Term-End Exams; Extends Assignment Submission Date

TNOU postpones term-end exams

The Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) has postponed the term-end examinations scheduled from May 27 to June 16. The university has decided to postpone the TEE exams in response to the Tamil Nadu Government's decision to extend lockdown in the state till May 31. The university will now conduct the TEE exams between June 16 and July 7.

“ The Term End Examinations May 2021 scheduled by the TNOU from 27.05.2021 to 16.06.2021 is postponed to conduct from 16-06-2021 to 07-07-2021,” a TNOU statement said.

It further added: “The learners are informed to get ready for their examinations.”

The university has also allowed the students an extension to submit the assignments. Now the students will be able to send their assignments till June 6. The TNOU assignments have to be submitted through the online portal, and post or courier. Students have to address the assignments to - “The Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Open University, 577, Anna Salai, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015”.

The university structures programs like UG, PG, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses. For the 2022 academic session, students can enrol in courses like BA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, MA, MCA, M.Sc, MBA, and MCom. 

Tamil Nadu Open University Admission 2022: 20 August 2022 is the last date to apply for TNOU Admission 2022-23. Tamil Nadu Open University was set up in 2002. The establishment’s motto was to provide open and distance programs to the students who needed to complete their left educational journey. The university structures programs like UG, PG, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses. For the 2022 academic session, students can enrol in courses like BA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, MA, MCA, M.Sc, MBA, and MCom. 

TNOU is recognized by NCTE, UGC, DEB, and RCI. It offers a 3-year UG and 2-year Master’s program in various areas. The criterion for each discipline is different. Always check the complete details from the university website before applying for a particular course or program. University will soon open admission for the year 2022.

Application Fee:  TNOU charges a registration fee of approximately  Rs. 300  for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The applicant who wishes to pursue the short-term program will have to pay a deposit of  Rs. 100 . All admissions are based on merit. UG admission is required to pass the 12th board examinations. Candidates must be passed their graduation degree in a relevant stream or program to be considered for post-graduation.

Tamil Nadu Open University Admission Highlights

Tamil Nadu Open University offers BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, MBA, MA, M.Com, MCA, M.Sc, PG Diploma, and Certificate in NGO Management courses. It has some special courses, which are researched in a way where there is a pattern study to learn and adapt thinks. Tamil Nadu Open University UG Admission

• BA: The university offers Bachelor of Arts programmes in many streams. Candidates with 10+2 with a good score can apply for this course. It is a UG level degree that can be completed in 3 years.
• BBA: TNOU offers BBA courses through its management schools. A Bachelor of Business Administration is a UG level professional degree that takes 3 years to complete. Students who hold 10+2 can submit a form for this degree.

• B.Sc: Bachelors of Science degree is an undergraduate level degree programme. The students must have passed HSC from a known institute to get admission in this course. The admission will be based on merit scored by the student in the last examination.

• MA: Master of Arts is a postgraduate level degree in arts that takes 2 years to complete. The students with a 50% or above score in their graduation program can apply for this degree at Tamil Nadu Open University.
• MCA: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in the same stream to get admission to this course at Tamil Nadu Open University. The admission will be based on merit scored by the candidate in bachelors degree result.
• M.Sc: Masters of Science is a PG level degree programme that can be completed in 2 years. The students who hold a graduation degree from a known institute are eligible to apply for this program. Candidates can choose from a wide range of subjects.

TNOU Diploma and PG Diploma Admission

• Tamil Nadu Open University Admission offers various Diploma and PG Diploma courses along with UG and PG level courses. It has diplomas in management, Retail management, Database and many more.
• The students who have completed their 12th board from any well-recognised board can apply for admission to any diploma course.

TNOU Assignment 2023 Get Online Assignments, Submission Last Date, Download Assignment

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) will soon upload the official notification for holding the TNOU Home Assignment Question papers for the academic year 2023. In the official notification, the officials will release the question papers most probably in the first week of April at the official website i.e. www.tnou.ac.in. We suggest the students to check the question paper for TNOU Assignment carefully, download it & write the answers clearly. Students must understand the academic schedule for the Academic year session 2023. It must be noted that, students need to submit TNOU Home Assignment only through post/ courier. Online academic counselling sessions for the project/ assignment is expected to begin from the first week of April 2023.

Those students who have filled up to submit the TNOU Home Assignment will not be able to ask assessment marks from the management. In case there are any changes in the academic schedule, then they will release the reschedule notice in official website of Tamil Nadu Open University. Students should apply for the home assignment before the deadline. Students are required to write their Home Assignment or Project clearly & submit it within the specified date through the modes available. The link for question papers for both UG Courses & Foundation Courses 1st Year & 2nd Year will be published by the university. Students must know the date of commencement of counselling from the official notification.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) is an open and distance learning Indian institution formulated by the government of Tamil Nadu, India. The institute came into existence in the year 2002 and is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Legislative Assembly of the government of Tamil Nadu has formed this institute in Act 27 of 2002 with a focus to provide access to higher education for those who were unable to pursue it. The University got its recognition from University Grants Commission in September 2015. • BA  Eligibility: Students can apply for the course through merit criteria. They need to complete 10+2 in any field of study from a recognized school or college. 
• BCA   Eligibility: A 12th certification is required for the candidates who wish to apply to the BCA distance course. 
• BSc  Eligibility: The merit-based criteria require 10+2 in science. Admissions to the course are made on a direct entry basis.

The University has started the admission process for courses like BA, BCom, BBA, BCA, MBA M.Com, MCA, M.Sc, and more . 31 March 2024* is the last date for TNOU admission, and the students can register at www.tnou.ac.in . Admission at TNOU is purely merit-based. Candidates can apply on the official portal by filling up the online application form with accurate document details.

• BCA: The students who have successfully completed their 10+2 exams can submit a form for this degree. Bachelor of Computer Application is also a UG-level degree program. The duration of this course is 3 years.
• B.Sc: Bachelor of Science degree is an undergraduate-level degree program. The students must have passed HSC from a known institute to get admission to this course. The admission will be based on merit scored by the student in the last examination.
• BEd:  TNOU offers BEd Special Education a UG-level course with a 2 to 4 years duration. Those applicants who have a 12th degree through a recognised board can take admission into this BEd specialization at TNOU.

TNOU Admission 2024-25 Highlights

Tamilnadu Open University admission is open for Ba, BCo, BSc, MA, MSc, MCom, BEd and other courses for the academic year 2024-25. TNOU UG Admission 2024-25

• Both the full-time Post Graduate diploma and the diploma program are offered by the university. The period of these degrees is only three years for full-time. Whereas, there are also different specializations for these programs.
• The minimum requirement for the courses in Tamil Nadu Open University is Graduation from a university that is recognized or has passed the 10+2.

IGNOU December 2022 TEE: Assignment submission deadline extended to December 15

Ignou december 2022 tee: the deadline for submission of project has been extended yet again, the students can submit their assignments by december 15 now..

IGNOU December 2022 TEE: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today extended the deadline for submission of assignments for December, 2022 TEE for both ODL and online programmes to December 15. Candidates can check the notification on the official IGNOU twitter handle or on the official website — ignou.ac.in.

The official notification stated, “With the approval of competent authority the last date for submission of Assignments (both in hard copy and soft copy), Project Reports, Field Work Journal (Practicum), Dissertation and Internship Report and DECE Project Reports for December, 2022 TEE for both ODL and Online Programmes has been further extended upto December 15.”

The date was earlier extended to November 30. Prior to that the last date for submission was October 31.

The December 2022 term end exam began today with over six lakh students appearing for it. The December TEE 2022 exams are being conducted in 834 centres, including 18 overseas centres and 85 centres in jails for inmates.

IGNOU instructed all exam centres to allow students to appear for the exams if their names exist in the list of examinees/attendance sheets for the centres whether they have admit cards or not.
